First thoughts about the concept
What do we want to achieve?
We want to create an interactive and physical experience about Ottoman Calligraphy. We are informing / teaching the target group on an easy level.
For whom are we designing?
We are designing the experience for people that have no idea or knowledge about Ottoman Calligraphy.
Where's the environment of this experience?
We think it should be a travelling (from place to place) experience placed in an open and public environment.
What is it?
It’s an interactive and chronological path guiding through the Ottoman Calligraphy. During your walk, you’ll learn about meanings of the Calligraphy and you can create your own individual sign.
Brainstorming
Before we thought about a concept we did a short brainstorm. We brainstormed about different subjects. The subjects were about the target group, our goal, the environment, interactivity and about the materials we wanted to use. We wrote all our thinking’s on sticky papers, so that we could easily change and move around the words and ideas afterwards. After the brainstorm we decided in which direction we wanted to go.

Mindmap: Calligraphy
Today we finished our mindmap. It's good looking and it's a nice starting point to form great ideas. Creating ideas is something what we'll do tomorrow.
The rest of the day we had two very interesting lectures. Tonight at dinner i hope to discuss the information with you, my teammates. And maybe we'll put a nice review of it online by tomorrow.

I think today was a great day, Finally, we visited the Sabanci Museum in the emirgan and we saw some diiferent calligraphic styles and artistic works. Also i loved istanbul again and again today :) At the same time, i'm reading some texts about the calligraphy now and collecting some examples for our project. But, also i have lots of work which i have to do for my company now :( but i will come tommorow with new ideas and informations about the calligraphy :)

Thursday getting ready for work
Hi everyone!
Finally I´ve found the blog and the most important I figgured out it is easy to use :P
Today was quite great! Going by boat was great you could think about everything and relax. I haven´t figured out the mystery of Istanbul yet.
I even draw my first sketches to copy the calligraphical work we´ve seen today.
Above are some impressions of today.... :)
Our first few days.
First of all; I like you, my teammembers. I think everyone has some value within the project. At the end of the first day we drank some alcohol at some restaurent in Istanbul, that's my favorite way to learn new people. I liked it that everone was socially open, and there was a good vibe.
Today (the second day) we all did a good job with creating the mindmap. Tomorrow we'll have some time to (maybe) update it a bit with the information from out the musuem. The musuem showed me some new interesting espects about calligraphy. Like how words or frases are positioned and how a calligrafic symbol is changing troughout time.
